HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Party Under the Palms: Wasn’t that a great party! Let’s give a round of applause to Victoria who spearheaded the event and to all those volunteers who helped make the event a huge success.
Let’s give a round of applause to our speaker, Dave from the Wellness Clinic.
We also want to welcome Mer-y-ka and her Mom, Mary Martinez today. (Meryka (pronounced like Ericka). They are here today selling Girl Scout cookies. Meryka attends school at the Science Academy in the Mercedes. So, if you would like any of those wonderful chocolate mint cookies, you can purchase them today at the back of the hall.
Hall Closed on 2/14 from 9 to Noon:
Also, just want to give you a heads up that our final rehearsal for the Beards ‘n Bras Show will be held on Thursday, Valentine’s Day, from 9 to Noon so the Hall will be closed to all other activities in the morning.
Bulletin Boards:
In the back of the Hall are two Bulletin Boards. The one by the entrance door is divided in half. The half by the door is for entertainment and dances coming up at Southern Comfort in the near future. The other half is for posters from Country Sunshine on what is happening in their park that you are invited to attend.
There is another Bulletin Board between the two windows by the door to the Business Office. This board contains a list of what is happening in the park this week. It is especially good for those people that don't have access to a computer so pass that word along. It will also have other information for you. Right now it has the list of the Encore Games Finals.
Encore Games:
Big Time Congratulations are in order. Our Men’s Euchre Team (Pat Vaughn and Mark Rayhons) won 1st Place in the Encore Euchre Tournament Finals! And our Women’s Team (Linda Mitchell and Gwen Kennedy) won 2nd Place in the Encore Texas Hold ‘em Finals. Give them a round of applause folks.
