Things are happening around the resort getting ready for all our Winter Texans to arrive. This summer Bob Lukkes built a wall by the stage which hides all of our tables and chairs. He did a great job. Thanks, Bob.
Then Gayla Henry came in and painted a mural on the wall. This was a bit before she finished but you'll get to see the final product when you get here. Tell Gayla thank you when you see her.
I started back in the Activity Office the first part of October and have been working hard getting ready for all of you. We've made a bunch of changes in the Hall to clean things up and make things nicer. I hope you'll like the improvements we've made.
When I started back, Lee was recruited as a volunteer to fix the holes in our walls, put the cords behind the walls where they belong and patch and paint everything. He has our office done and is now working on the room between us and the Business Office. And, Jeanette talked him into redoing the doors in the Business Office. So, you can imagine how hard he has been working. I will just be glad to have a functioning office again and that should happen shortly. Right now we are living in a mess! Of course, Lee will be happy to start work on November 1 so he can quit painting, etc.!
He is painting the walls here and the dark blue is going away. Below are pictures of the mess in the Activities Office at the moment. Can't wait until we can put it all back together.
